Here are 6 reasons why the Barre 191 Workout could be for you...

1. You Won't Bulk Up 

You don't have to lift heavy weights to achieve fantastic muscular definition. Barre exercises are performed at high repetitions that allow you to achieve long and lean muscle tone while using weights as low as 1kg. 

2. It's Safe 

Barre is a low-impact workout and it’s done under the watchful eye of trained instructors. Compared to high-impact workouts and sports that tax the joints and can lead to strains and sprains, barre has a low incidence of injury. Many enthusiasts make the switch to Barre after being sidelined with a sports-related injury. 

Additionally, If you do any type of workout that involves your body pounding on a hard surface like pavement, then a Barre workout is an excellent way to strengthen your muscles without doing any damage to your joints. Barre movements are easy on your body and are designed to focus on specific muscles rather than putting stress on the more sensitive areas of your body, like your knees or your back, and there are always modifications should you have an injury. 

3. It's Lunch-Break Friendly 

Barre is a challenging, full-body workout but it doesn't need to leave you in a sweaty mess. While a post-class shower is nonnegotiable when it comes to cycling or CrossFit, you can usually get away with a change of clothes and a spritz of dry shampoo after Barre. This makes it a time-efficient workout you can do on your lunch break or before heading to work. But don't be fooled by the fact that you might not break a sweat… you will be working hard and the results will speak for themselves. The smaller, slower movements in Barre classes are highly effective since you’re isolating specific muscle groups.

4. It Works It's Magic Quickly 

With a well-deserved reputation as a quick fix for targeted toning of problem areas, Barre delivers incredible results where it matters most: toned legs, famously lifted bums, trimmed arms and tightened waistlines. You know all of those hard-to-reach places you want to tone but don’t know how? Barre solves that dilemma for you in an effective, fun and invigorating way. High-energy, intense workout blends the best of light weight training, dance and core strengthening exercises to systematically target each muscle group through a sequence of focused movements or, as we call them, ‘pulses.’… Classes target all of the small muscles you're not typically used to working — lifting your seat, sculpting your arms and thighs, as well as chiseling your core.

5. It's For Every Fitness Level

Whether you are a marathon runner or completely out of shape, a Barre class will whip your butt into action and will work muscles you forgot were there. Simple movements are difficult for every fitness level, and the more toned you get, the heavier weights you use and the better your form gets. It never gets easier but as your technique improves, you will get better at the exercises.
